-- ABSTRACT: This is an exploratory research into a quest to find the feminine Self through theatrical performance and performative narrative. In a first-person approach, the author traces a path of discovery from a crisis that she is going through at the age of retirement which she problematizes into the axis of her research. Through performative writing, she seeks through language to embody her feminine Self, from which she feels alienated. At each stage of her research, the author enters into an interpretative process of deconstruction and reconstruction of the internalized meaning of her own story and the myths of the culture in which she grew up. Through performative narrative and the ritual of theatre, she discovers a metaphorical language that propels her into the world of the imaginary, where her encounters with archetypal and mythological figures become her path to discovery and transformation.
This thesis is the narration of this five-year journey in which the researcher recounts her quest from the time of her crisis and brings us with her to discover aspects of her psyche which are symbolically expressed in the writing of a "scenario". This is a significant turning point which brings her to participate in a ritualized theatre practice. Through her explorations and improvisations, she encounters archetypes which reveal to her the extraordinary story of a feminine rooted in a mythological and cultural history in which she can finally recognize herself and embody this feminine in relation to others. -- Mot(s) clé(s) en anglais : Performative writing, DyoNises Theatre, improvisation, performance, ritual, symbolic language, mythology, archetypes, body, feminine.
