-- ABSTRACT: The subject of this research into the study of psychosocial practices questions an evolving woman's sense of belonging in a hypermodern culture. The quest that served as a basis for her approach sought to question her relationship to a sense of belonging within her community, her country and the world. From a self-ethnographic perspective, the researcher revisited her personal and family life story, while connecting it to that of her ancestors in a socio-historical setting. The objective of this research-training was to develop a renewed understanding and outlook of her existence on earth and her relationships. The heuristic approach associated with this research represents a radical narrative and a reflexive progression written in the first person. Inspired by phenomenology and hermeneutics, this research is part of a comprehensive and interpretative paradigm using a qualitative approach. Throughout the research, fact gathering was achieved by keeping a research journal where miscellaneous data were recorded and produced in the form of poetic texts, symbolic facts, phenomenological stories, specific interviews and focus work.
All of this data will be presented in an ethnographic narrative form. At first, the qualitative interpretation process of these facts took the form of thematic analysis. This process was completed by an interpretative return to writing form. At the conclusion of this research process, one notices that there is a new understanding of the relationship between belonging, autonomy and relational freedom. The writer's transformation is epitomized by the renewal and expansion of her experiences. The writer-researcher can then contribute differently to the world of which she is a part on the basis of her uniqueness. -- Mot(s) clé(s) en anglais : belonging, uniqueness, marginality, self-ethnography, eco-feminism, indigenous spirituality, transgenerational.
